I can’t believe how much is happening in the Valley this weekend! Aspen Food & Wine, Jazz Aspen, Strawberry Days Festival. It’s almost too much goodness in one weekend. Here are a few affordable options to consider.
117th Annual Strawberry Days Festival in Glenwood Springs – yes, you read that right – 117 years strong!!! Amazing isn’t, it? We will be heading down later today to check out the vendor booths & eat some fair food – I need my yearly fix of Navajo Taco, Gyros and a fresh lemonade shake-up. Hopefully we can catch a performance or two as well. Admission to the festival is free. Leave your pets at home as Sayre Park is a “No Pet” zone during Strawberry Days. Visit the Strawberry Days Festival website for the full weekend schedule.
This new (and FREE!) summer event kicks off on Sunday, June 22 in Carbondale. The fun starts at 7:00 with music by Hymn For Her. A showing of The Princess Bride on the big screen follows at dusk. Bring blankets, chairs, cooler – whatever you need to be comfortable. Visit Carbondale Council on Arts for more information.
The Basalt Sunday Market is the place to be (and be seen) on Sundays. Check out the amazing offerings from a large variety of vendors. Don’t forget to let the younger kids jump in the Basalt Elementary PIE bounce house!
What are your plans for the weekend?
