Pineapple rings cooked in the air fryer are made with butter, cinnamon, and brown sugar and caramelized to perfection. Ready in less than 20 minutes, serve this quick and easy recipe as a side dish, snack or dessert.
In a shallow bowl mix the brown sugar and cinnamon until combined.
Dip pineapple rings one at a time into the melted butter then evenly coat the slices with the brown sugar and cinnamon mixture.
Lightly spray the air fryer basket with oil and add the coated pineapple slices to the basket in an even layer.
Cook for 10-12 minutes.
Remove rings from basket and place on a platter.
Add an extra sprinkle of the brown sugar cinnamon mixture if desired.
Notes
You can use fresh or canned pineapple. If using fresh, be sure to make the slices evenly sized. If using canned, drain the juice and pat the slices completely dry with a paper towel.
For best cooking results, make sure the slices are in an even layer and not overlapping.
You can skip the butter for a healthier version.
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days. Can be eaten cold or reheated in the air fryer.
