Edible gifts are always popular and our Mason Jar Chocolate Chip Cookies mix is one of our favorites to give. We've perfected the recipe and scaled it for different jar sizes.
For a layered presentation: carefully add dry ingredients to your jar, one at a time, in the order listed.
For a blended presentation: mix the dry ingredients in a bowl before transferring to the jar.
To Make Cookies
Prepare a baking sheet by lining with parchment paper or lightly greasing.
Place butter, egg and vanilla in a mixing bowl and mix until smooth. Reduce mixing speed to Medium and gradually add the jarred ingredients. Mix until the batter reaches cookie dough consistency.
Using a small cookie scoop, place uncooked dough balls on the prepared cookie sheet.
Bake at 350 degrees F for 12 minutes. Let cool on the cookie sheet for 1 minute before removing to a cooling rack to finish cooling.
Notes
The yield will vary based on how much mix you prepare and the size of your scoop.
Nutritional information is based on a 32-ounce jar of cookie mix.
These make a fun "gift from the kitchen" for hostess, teacher or neighbor gifts.
Include a gift tag with prep and baking instructions (see the post for a free printable tag template).
