To Make Mason Jar Cookie Mix

  • For a layered presentation: carefully add dry ingredients to your jar, one at a time, in the order listed.
  • For a blended presentation: mix the dry ingredients in a bowl before transferring to the jar.

To Make Cookies

  • Prepare a baking sheet by lining with parchment paper or lightly greasing.
  • Place butter, egg and vanilla in a mixing bowl and mix until smooth. Reduce mixing speed to Medium and gradually add the jarred ingredients. Mix until the batter reaches cookie dough consistency.
  • Using a small cookie scoop, place uncooked dough balls on the prepared cookie sheet.
  • Bake at 350 degrees F for 12 minutes. Let cool on the cookie sheet for 1 minute before removing to a cooling rack to finish cooling.

  • The yield will vary based on how much mix you prepare and the size of your scoop.
  • Nutritional information is based on a 32-ounce jar of cookie mix.
  • These make a fun "gift from the kitchen" for hostess, teacher or neighbor gifts.
  • Include a gift tag with prep and baking instructions (see the post for a free printable tag template).
