Instant Pot Popcorn

This Instant Pot Popcorn recipe has just 3 ingredients & you don't have to worry about a pressure cooker fail. Perfectly cooked popcorn every time!

  • 2 Tablespoons coconut oil
  • ½ cup popcorn kernels
  • ½ teaspoon salt optional


  • Set instant pot to Saute.
  • Add coconut oil and heat until melted.
  • Add popcorn kernels and stir to coat with oil.
  • Cover Instant Pot with a clear glass lid and cook for 5-6 minutes, or until popping slows down.
  • Turn off. Carefully remove the lid, opening away from your face to avoid the releasing steam.
  • Carefully transfer popcorn to a large bowl and sprinkle with salt, if using.
  • Add your favorite seasonings or toppings, if desired.


  • Use a glass lid from your cookware set if you don't have the IP glass lid.
