Everything you love about a bacon cheeseburger comes together in this hearty pasta casserole recipe. You'll need just 20 minutes of prep to make this easy dinner that's perfect for busy nights.

1poundlean ground beef

½cup2% milk
4large eggs
½cupdiced picklesoptional

Instructions
Preheat the oven to 375°F. Lightly grease a 9x13-inch oven-safe casserole dish and set aside.
Prepare the pasta according to the package directions, and cooking just until al dente. Drain and rinse the pasta before mixing 2 cups with the other ingredients.

Prepare the bacon while the pasta cooks, using your preferred method. Drain the grease then chop it up.

While the pasta is cooking, heat the ground beef and diced onion in a large skillet over medium heat, cooking until the beef is browned and fully cooked. Drain any excess grease and discard.

Add the garlic, salt, pepper, ketchup, and mustard, stir and cook for another minute.

Combine the cooked pasta, beef mixture, crumbled bacon, and half of the shredded cheese in a large bowl. Stir until everything is evenly combined.

Whisk together the milk and eggs in a separate bowl. Pour over the pasta mixture and stir gently to combine. If using the pickles and tomatoes, stir them in now.

Transfer mixture to the prepared baking dish, spread evenly, and top with the remaining cheese.
Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the casserole is set and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Allow it to rest for about 5 minutes before serving.
Garnish with additional chopped tomatoes and pickles, if desired.
Notes
Cook the noodles to al dente to avoid mushy pasta.
The bacon and hamburger should be well-drained before adding to the casserole.
Ground turkey or chicken can be used in place of the ground beef but you may want to adjust the seasonings.
Cheese options: Monterey Jack, Colby Jack or provolone in place of the cheddar.
Turkey bacon can be used to reduce calories and fat.
Let the casserole cool for 5-10 minutes before serving. This allows is to setup and makes it easier to slice and serve.
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days. Reheat in the microwave or oven until heated through.
