Equipment
Large mixing bowl
2-ounce shot cups with lids
Rimmed cookie sheet
Injector or pourable measuring cup
Ingredients
1
3-ounce
box lemon Jell-o
1
3-ounce
box strawberry Jell-o
2
cups
boiling water
1
cup
vodka
¼
cup
cold water
¼
cup
fresh lemon juice
Optional Garnishes
whipped cream
strawberry or lemon slices
gummies - strawberries, pink or yellow fruit slices
Instructions
Combine the strawberry and lemon gelatins in a medium mixing bowl.
Add the boiling water and stir until the jell-o is fully dissolved.
Add the cold water, vodka, and lemon juice and stir to combine.
Line up the shot cups on a flat, moveable surface such as a rimmed baking sheet.
Fill each cup until it’s about ¾ of the way full.
Gently place in the fridge for 2 hours or until solidified.
If using a garnish, add it just before serving.
Notes
You can substitute a flavored vodka like strawberry, lemon or strawberry lemonade if preferred.
Don’t exceed the suggested amount of alcohol or they may not set up.
Store in the refrigerator with the lids on, for up to one week.
We don’t recommend freezing Jell-o shots.
Wait to garnish until you’re ready to serve. If you garnish too early, the garnish tends to break down leaving a gooey mess.
