Air Fryer Naan Pizza is ready to eat in under 15 minutes! The best part is you can make it your own by customizing with your favorite sauce and toppings.

When it comes to pizza, we can be a bit picky. The good news is that pizza is a customizable dinner that can fit into any lifestyle and can even be made into a dessert.

Did you know that pizza first came to be in the 19th century in Naples? And it was flatbread!

Air Fryer Naan Pizza Ingredients

Naan bread – you can use store-bought Naan or try a crack at homemade Naan bread

Pepperoni – for a lighter option you can swap these for turkey pepperoni

Mozzarella cheese – shredding your own mozzarella takes this pizza to a whole new level. You can also grab fresh mozzarella from the deli section for extra gooey cheese.

Pizza sauce – this can be homemade or store bought

Feel free to substitute with your favorite toppings such as bacon, sausage crumbles, olives, mushrooms, etc. Or make a batch of this garlic chili oil recipe to drizzle over your cooked pizza.

How To Make Naan Pizza in the Air Fryer

First, you’ll need to preheat your air fryer to 350 degrees F. If you are going to line the basket with parchment paper liners for easier cleanup, wait to put the liner in the basket until you’re ready to put the pizza in. If you put it in during the preheating, the paper flies around inside and could start a fire.

We highly recommend crisping the Naan bread first. This keeps your pizza from getting soggy. If you are going to pre cook your Naan bread, just air fry it for about 3 minutes or until it just starts browning.

Crisp the bread in batches if needed, depending on how large your air fryer basket is.

Next, top a crisped piece of Naan with a little pizza sauce, then add your mozzarella cheese and finally the pepperoni (or whatever toppings your are using).

Finish it off by cooking for about 5 minutes so the pepperoni slices are toasted and the cheese has melted.

Does Naan Bread Taste Like Regular Pizza Crust?

Naan bread is more like a pita bread than regular pizza crust. So if you are referring to take-out pizza, no Naan is a little different and similar to a flatbread. If you are looking a low carb crust, try this easy Fathead dough recipe.

How to Store Leftover Naan Pizza

We rarely have leftovers but if you do, store them in airtight containers in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days. Reheat pizza in the air fryer or oven.

Can You Freeze Naan Pizza?

Actually yes.

Simply follow the instructions, construct your pizzas, and air fry just as you normally would. Then transfer each pizza from the air fryer basket to a baking sheet. Once they have cooled, place the baking sheet in the freezer for about 30 minutes to flash freeze the pizzas.

Afterwards, package them in a freezer bag, separated by parchment paper if needed.

When you are ready to eat, use your oven or air fryer to reheat on 350 degrees F for about 15-18 minutes.
