Air Fryer Chocolate Chip Cookies are crispy on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside. Perfect when you want a small batch of cookies without all of the mess.

Sometimes I love the thought of a fresh-baked batch of chocolate chip cookies. But then I think about having to drag everything out, making a big mess and multiple batches.

And that just becomes a hassle. Making cookies in your air fryer is the perfect solution. Like these chewy S’mores cookies and hot chocolate cookies with mini marshmallows – sooo good! If you need to avoid flour these gluten-free chocolate chip cookies are soft and chewy.

Not only can you make smaller batches, but you can also keep the dough on hand to make more later in the week. Who doesn’t like fresh baked cookies?!

Let’s not forget how hot it gets in the summer and how we don’t want to add extra heat to our house. Again, air fryer to the rescue! I actually have three air fryers. I know it’s a sickness. But my favorite one to recommend is Cosori

Don’t forget to grab some pre-cut parchment paper liners. I absolutely love these and they make cleanup a breeze. The liners have precut holes so the paper doesn’t interfere with the cooking process.

How To Make Chocolate Chip Cookies in the Air Fryer

While your air fryer is preheating, combine the dry ingredients in a large bowl and whisk them together. In another mixing bowl, cream your butter and sugar then add your eggs one at a time.

Prepare your air fryer by placing the parchment paper in the basket. Using a cookie scoop, drop the cookie dough down on the paper, leaving room in between each dough ball.

Air fry the cookies at 300 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes then let them sit before taking them out of the basket.

Repeat for the remaining cookie dough.

How Many Cookies Can You Make at a Time in the Air Fryer?

This really depends on the size of your air fryer, but for most models, you can cook 4 to 5 at a time.

Can You Eat This Cookie Dough Raw?

We do not recommend it due to the risk of salmonella from the raw eggs. However, you can try my Cookie Dough Bites recipe that is 100% percent edible.

How To Store Leftover Cookie Dough

Cookie dough will keep in the fridge for up to 5 days as long as it is stored in an airtight container

You can also flash freeze the cookie dough so it will keep longer. To flash freeze, place your cookie dough balls on a cookie sheet and place them in the freezer for about 30 minutes. Transfer dough balls to a freezer bag for storage.

Instructions for Freezing Air Fryer Chocolate Chip Cookies

Allow the cookies to cool completely. Then place them in a freezer bag and store in the freezer for up to 2 months. Be sure to let them thaw before reheating.

Can You Reheat Cookies Using the Air Fryer?

Yes! Simply air fry your cookies at 325 degrees for 2 to 3 minutes!

Oven Baking Directions

If you would rather bake your cookies in the oven, simply follow all of the instructions for making the cookie dough. Then bake the cookies at 350 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes.
