I am so excited to share these Christmas Cornflake Wreaths with you! When I’m searching for baked goods and treats to make, I want recipes that are easy to prepare and don’t use special ingredients. And it has to look festive and cute – like this pretty Candy Cane Pie.

This recipe is perfect because the wreaths take just 5 ingredients, are no-bake, and the kids can join in the fun too. And let’s face it, the wreaths do look impressive!

And if that weren’t enough, this is a sweet treat perfect for cookie trays, neighbor gifts, and holiday get-togethers.

Cornflake Wreaths just scream the holiday season. We’ve been making these for years and my kids have always had so much fun helping me make them.

Ingredients for Cornflake Wreath Cookies

Butter

Marshmallows – we will be using about 50 large marshmallows; if you need to use up the rest of the bag, try my S’mores Rice Krispie Treats.

Food Coloring – this gives the wreath the vibrant green color when we dye the cornflakes. You can use standard food dye or a plant based dye coloring.

Cornflakes – purchase the name brand or the store brand, either is fine.

Red Candies – We have found that small cinnamon candies or mini red M&Ms work the best.

Kitchen Tools Needed:

  • Mixing bowl
  • Cookie Sheet
  • Parchment Paper or a Silpat mat – to line the cookie sheet so the cookie wreaths don’t stick

Tips for Making

  • Grease clean hands with butter or non-stick cooking spray before shaping the wreaths.
  • I’ve found the easiest way to shape the cookies is to poke a hole in the center of the mixture and rotate the dough to form a wreath shape.
  • Add the candies to the cornflake wreaths while they are still warm so they will stick.
  • If you want to give these as a gift, just wrap up in a cello bag or in a festive holiday treat box.

Can You Make Cookie Wreaths for Other Holidays?

Yes! You can customize these cornflake wreaths for any holiday simply by swapping out the food coloring and candies. You can even make different shapes. Some shapes may be a little more difficult to make, but here are a few options.

Valentines Day – Change out the colors to pink and red and shape the wreath into a heart shape.

Red, White, and Blue – For holidays such as July 4th and Memorial Day, shape into a star and use patriotic sprinkles.

Halloween – Try shaping into a pumpkin and use mini Reese’s pieces for the candies.

How To Store

Before storing in an airtight container, be sure to let the wreaths completely cool and set so they don’t break apart when you lift them off the parchment paper. They will keep for up to 5 days (if they last that long!).
