Ingredients for Air Fryer Granola
- old fashioned rolled oats – for a gluten-free version, Bob’s Red Mill is a great option

- maple syrup – go for the real deal (it makes a difference)
- light brown sugar – you could also use coconut sugar or maple sugar
- vanilla

- Kosher salt

How To Make Granola in the Air Fryer
In a large mixing bowl, combine all the ingredients and mix them together.
Next wrap the interior of your air fryer basket with aluminum foil. You want to make sure the bottom is covered and go about an inch up the sides of the basket.
Pour in the granola mixture, making sure it’s in an even layer.
Air fry at 350 degrees F for about 10 minutes. Periodically open the basket to stir it around to help break up any clumps.
Once it has finished cooking, transfer the granola to a baking sheet and let it cool down for about 15 minutes before serving. If you are going to store it immediately, let it cool completely before storing in an airtight container.
Tips for Making Granola in Air Fryer
- Keep a close eye on the granola while cooking – it can burn easily.
- If the granola doesn’t crisp up, return to the air fryer and cook for a couple more minutes.
- Store in an airtight container on the counter for up to 7 days.
Can You Make Homemade Granola in the Oven?
Yes! Combine all of the ingredients and instead of transferring it to the air fryer basket, pour it onto a parchment-lined cookie sheet and smooth it into an even layer.
Bake at 350 degrees F for 20-25 minutes, stirring occasionally to keep large clumps from forming. Bake until it’s as crispy as you like.
Once it’s done cooking, move the parchment paper with the granola off of the pan and set it on the counter to cool.

More Granola Ingredient Variations
If you want to mix these toppings in, do so after the granola has cooled down.
- Raisins
- Dried fruits – cranberries, apricots, cherries
- Chopped nuts
- Chocolate chips
- Sunflower seeds
- Coconut flakes
Ways to Serve Air Fried Granola
- With milk (like cereal)
- As a yogurt topping
- Mixed in with ice cream or froyo
- In a trail mix
- By itself as a snack
- In bars – add some peanut butter or chocolate chips before baking or air frying and this will help hold them together so you can slice them into bars.
