After I made my viral TikTok Feta Tomato Pasta last year, I decided to branch out and see what else I could make with Feta cheese. Blocks of feta were few and far between, but I managed to scrape up some crumbled feta cheese to create a flavorful dip.

This dip recipe is very forgiving, similar to making vinaigrette dressings. And you can add toppings and additional ingredients based on your preferences to make it as flavorful as you like.

If you do decide to change things up, be sure to let me know so I can try it myself.

What is Feta Cheese?

This white Greek cheese is typically made from sheep or goat’s milk and cured in a brine mixture. It’s semi-firm and can be found in blocks or crumbles.

How To Make Creamy Whipped Feta Dip Without Cream Cheese

Add all of the ingredients into a food processor bowl or high-speed blender and pulse until it’s smooth and creamy. That’s it – easy peasy!

I don’t recommend using an electric mixer for this recipe. The feta is a little grainy, so something with a blade works best to break it down.

Also, taste your dip before serving. You may want to add a little salt and pepper to bring the flavors together. Or a squeeze of lemon juice to brighten the flavors. I’ve listed some flavor variations towards the end if you want to experiment.

What To Serve with Whipped Feta Dip

Or slather it on a wedge of crispy socca flatbread. You can also serve whipped feta as a thick dressing or dipping sauce for cooked meats.

How To Store Leftovers Whipped Feta Dip

If you have whipped feta leftovers, store in an airtight container in the frig for up to 3 days. The dip will become thicker over time. Allow it to sit out before serving as a dip.

You can also use it as a spread straight from the fridge. And it’s delicious on toasted bagels.

Can You Make Feta Dip Ahead of Time?

Yes, you can! However, once the whipped dip has been refrigerated the consistency changes just a bit. Before serving allow it to sit on the counter for about 30 minutes. You can also add it back to the processor or use a blender to fluff it back up.
