Making a Halloween Charcuterie Board is easy, festive, and so delicious! All you need are a few Halloween-themed ingredients and the ideas are endless.
With charcuterie being the new craze, I couldnโt let the Halloween season pass by without making a Halloween themed charcuterie dessert board. I realize charcuterie technically means meat, but I’m OK with breaking rules now and then.
Especially when making a dessert board is so easy and fun. Not to mention the kids (and the entire family!) will love being able to graze.

This isn’t my first attempt at holiday charcuterie boards. I made this patriotic 4th of July Charcuterie board last summer and my Thanksgiving Charcuterie Board and Breakfast Charcuterie boards are always a hit. You can use ideas from those boards to fill up your spooky board if you want to add some extra goodies to the spread.

How to Make a Charcuterie Dessert Board for Halloween
Using my recipe for Halloween Chocolate Covered Strawberries, you’ll want to make these first.
Next place the small bowls or ramekins on the board. This will give you a visual of how to arrange all of your treats. Fill the bowls with the various candies.
Then add the dipped pretzel rods and chocolate-covered strawberries. If you are using different Halloween-themed ingredients, you’ll want to place the largest items on the board first. Place the grapes on next.
Are you adding cheese and nuts? If so, go ahead and arrange these around the other ingredients.
If you have empty spots, fill them in with additional small candies and Halloween props.
Tips for Making Charcuterie Boards
- Choose the size of the board wisely. You want the board to look abundant and the ingredients to fill the entire board.
- Take allergies into account if you are having guests. Nuts, fruits and dairy allergies are fairly common so you’ll want to avoid those ingredients if one of your guests has allergies.
- Using different size bowls adds visual interest. You can use short and shallow ones and mix them with taller ones.
- The color of the overall board brings all of the festive vibes, so be sure that the pops of color are spread out.
